The media’s coverage of “occupy” and its relevance to Penn State

There is no doubt in my mind the media’s coddling of the “Occupy” movement -- downplaying the violence, underreporting felonious assaults and other crimes, even spinning supportive stories and headlines that liken it to having a grassroots Kumbaya-type feel -- all played a factor in how those juvenile Penn State students responded to news of Joe Paterno’s firing. They’re already fully aware the media has sided with other “occupiers.” Add the live feeds where “protesters” instantaneously get to see their “angst” played out in front of cameras (the media) shoved in their faces and you have a recipe for disaster. Or what the media now calls “news.” Or in this case, a disgraceful exclamation point to Joe Paterno’s career.

PS- Years ago when Joe Paterno was first made aware of that horrible incident where a youngster was sexually attacked and violated on campus by football coach and child predator Jerry Sandusky, Paterno failed to realize then that the despicably irresponsible and immoral way he chose to deal with that information would one day result in him forfeiting all rights and expectations he had in ending his career on his own terms. That day came yesterday.

Flashback: Obama and the police

People forget that when Obama said, “The Cambridge police acted stupidly” during that 2009 press conference, he INTENTIONALLY took that one last question at the very end of the press conference to deliver that fateful line.

Proof not only of his arrogance, but of how Obama really feels about the glue that holds our society together.

It also makes for an especially damning statement now in light of the rabble that is currently “occupying” American cities.

Warning: Possible Hijacking -- The media realizes they can’t beat the Tea Party so they’re now trying to equate it with this anarchic anti-Capitalism movement. DO NOT let them get away with it.

The people who identify with the Tea Party movement and attend events are quite different: They are the honest, hardworking, taxpaying, law-abiding informed citizens who actually support their local sheriff.

These Wall Street “occupiers” are a different breed. The ones I spoke with -- college grads -- didn’t know who their representatives in Congress were or how much the federal deficit is . . . but they sure loved their Obama! That said, pent-up anger in misguided people is not a good combo.

With the media now running stories about protester “sanitation” issues on Wall Street and main streets, here’s a good snapshot that says everything: Compare last year’s Restoring Honor Rally in DC (re: The Clean-Up) to the TRASHING of the WI State Capitol.

There is no comparison! Case closed.

First, yes, obviously many of us are absolutely disgusted with the economy and its zero job growth, but most of us are not “occupying” Wall Street -- we are working our assets off to make ends meet!
At the same time, we are also working to ensure that LOSER PREZ -- the one whose whack Obamanomics policies are responsible for America being in this predicament -- GETS DEFEATED!

Secondly, don’t believe that straw man argument the protesters have put out because most of them are idiots!

This weekend, Obama marked the 10th anniversary of 9/11 by creating photo-ops for his (never-ending) campaign. Nothing more.

Wait -- the pontificating Obama was also blah blah blasphemous.

Yesterday, Obama went to (disrespect) Arlington National Cemetery.
And of course, play (to) the media.

Today, his reelection road show desecrated more hallowed ground:
NYC’s Ground Zero. The Shanksville, PA crash site. The Pentagon.

Throw in Obama’s soup kitchen volunteering today, and what HE has now are more images, sound bites, and video clips of himself than you can shake a stick at. Truly a narcissist‘s dream! All to be culled into commercial tidbits and morsels for his reelection.

With his nose to the sky, Obama will be shown quoting scripture. (Say what?!?)

Others may have him with his sleeves rolled-up, gesturing to his adoring public.

And some will show him as (a) god -- you can be certain of that.
(Perhaps it’s more than fitting that Obama’s 2012 slogan is WTF.)

Because to Obama, God is a prop to be played...or omitted.

Obama preaches to us from our most sacred places -- about the “peaceful and tolerant” religion of Islam. But for over 20 years, he sat in a “church” listening to his spiritual mentor, the racist Wright preach “God D--- America.” Call it his indulgence.
This fact cannot be suppressed, nor its effect ever underestimated.

Which means, even without box-cutters, Obama is a threat.
And his mere presence at our sacred places is disrespectful.
America would be better with Obama golfing. Or on vacation.
Or unemployed.

Once upon a time there was this tone deaf prez who HAD to have something to balance out his lifestyles-of the-rich-and-famous vacation he was intent on taking. So Obama went off on a “three-day tour” to conduct what his minions in the media called “official presidential business.” Then Gilligan, er, I mean, Obama toured middle America . . . on a Canadian-made Greyhound One. (Please see “tone deaf.”)

Unfortunately, Obama was traveling in a million-dollar black bus -- with no American flags anywhere -- making his motorcade ride more like a hearse in a funeral procession.

Anyway, Obama had obviously embarked upon yet another one of his (never-ending) campaign swings, with the idea that -- as Dem pollsters hoped -- Obama might be able to lure back at least some rural white middle class voters now fleeing him in droves. Sadly, the self-proclaimed “post-racial” prez chose not to get out in front of the recent news of the day that more flash mob-generated incidents of violence had occurred -- odd behavior considering how his supporters viewed him as some kind of healing unifier. (Not.) Obama would instead use his bully pulpit in its literal sense, telling lies, spewing hate, and (of course) pretending to commiserate with the jobless. Then (naturally) he was off to Martha’s Vineyard! (Please see “tone deaf” again.)

Of course, what with his “laser beam-like focus” on jobs and all, Obama let it be known he had a cool new jobs plan that would save-or-create more jobs -- and that he would unveil it just as soon as his vacation was over (and not a moment too soon). But most already know his plan: Waste more taxpayer funds on absolutely nothing, except for filling-up government union coffers, and maybe some “recovery” signs. Or maybe even a tee shirt that says “Obama spent another trillion and all America’s children got was this lousy tee shirt the government already took off their back.” You get the idea.

No word yet on whether Obama has any future flash mob campaign stops planned. Stay tuned…
